Where to Stay in Jasper with Kids: Jasper Inn & Suites

Jasper is one of our go-to getaways. It’s less busy than Banff, our preferred destination, and feels like you are truly getting away from the the city, the crowds, and into the mountains.

For relaxing weekend destinations, accommodations should be, well, relaxing. If you’ve stayed in a two bed standard hotel room before, you know just how non-relaxing that can be. That’s why, when we travel, we search for vacation rentals, cabins and hotels, that have one of the biggest factors in an enjoyable weekend: separation.

Jasper Inn & Suites has family-friendly, affordable suites for families that have features to make a weekend enjoyable.

Separation between Sleeping Areas

In the upstairs loft, kids are nestled away (with their own space, television and three beds – a rare find for larger families) and a separate space for them to play, and enjoy the weekend when you’re not out having an adventure in Jasper. The adults in the group slept downstairs, in a separate bedroom (and there’s even a pull-out couch for larger families, more children, or even additional adults staying for the weekend adventure).

Fully Modernized Stocked Kitchen

I don’t know about you, but we’re not at the point when we are regularly visiting sit down restaurants with the kids yet. Visiting during COVID, it was extremely helpful to have forks, knives and glasses for take-out meals, and even the ability to bring pre made meal kits with you to cook in the room. In case you didn’t know, I love pre-made meal kits, like Hello Fresh for weekend getaways if you’re trying to reduce the amount of money you’re spending on restaurants – everything you need is right there.

Wood Burning Fireplace

Okay, this gem adds instant-cozy to your weekend trip and is a fantastic way to warm up if you’ve spent the day outside on an animal watching adventure.

We didn’t have a chance to visit the pool since it was closed due to COVID, but we look forward to having the chance to swim off some of that evening energy before the kids go to sleep the next time around, because we would 10/10 stay again at Jasper Inn & Suites the next time we’re in town.
